Community Scenes

The Community page is a gallery of public scenes shared by other deFlex users. You can browse designs for inspiration, like and favorite the ones you find useful, and fork any scene into your own workspace. The Community page requires authentication; unauthenticated visitors are redirected to the home page.

Community scenes are displayed in a responsive card grid (up to four columns on wide screens). Each card shows:

  • A thumbnail or placeholder icon.
  • The scene name, linked to a read-only view of the scene in the editor.
  • An analysis type badge.
  • A relative timestamp (e.g., "3 days ago").
  • Like count and a heart button.
  • A favorite (star) button.
  • A fork count if the scene has been forked at least once (e.g., "2 uses").
  • A Use button to fork the scene.

A count indicator below the grid shows how many scenes are visible out of the total. Scenes load in pages of 12, with View More and View Less buttons.

Toolbar

The Community toolbar provides four controls:

A text field labeled "Search community scenes..." filters scenes by name or analysis type. The filter is debounced (300 ms). A clear button appears when text is present.

Sort

A dropdown with the following options:

OptionBehavior
Most RecentMost recently updated first (default).
Most LikedHighest like count first.
Name A-ZAlphabetical ascending.
Name Z-AAlphabetical descending.

Filter by analysis type

A dropdown labeled All Types that lists analysis types present in the current data. Select a type to show only scenes of that kind.

My Favorites toggle

A toggle button labeled My Favorites with a star icon. When active, the gallery shows only scenes you have favorited. The button is visually highlighted in yellow when the filter is on.

Interacting with scenes

Like

Click the heart icon on a card to like or unlike a scene. The like count updates immediately. Your like state persists across sessions.

Favorite

Click the star icon to add or remove a scene from your favorites. Favorited scenes can be isolated using the My Favorites toolbar toggle.

Fork (Use)

Click the Use button to fork a community scene into your workspace:

  1. A progress overlay appears showing a spinner and a progress bar as assets are copied.
  2. When the fork completes, you are navigated into the scene editor with your new copy.

The fork has a 60-second timeout. If exceeded, the overlay dismisses and an error toast appears.

You can also right-click a card to access Open (view in editor) and Use (fork) from a context menu.
